On July 5, 2019, at the third council (expanded) meeting of the seventh session of the China Architectural Glass and Industrial Glass Association held in Wuhan, Zhang Baiheng was unanimously elected as the new chairman of the glass industry association.

This time, more than 300 representatives from flat glass and processed glass all over the country attended the meeting and offered suggestions for the development of the glass industry.

Subsequently, the newly elected chairman Zhang Baiheng made a report to the conference on the current development status of the glass industry and the future work ideas.

The meeting also decided to set up the "China Architectural Glass and Industrial Glass Association Structural Adjustment and Development Committee", which is composed of the leaders of some large enterprises and the associations with leading positions and responsibilities in the industry. The main responsibility is to cooperate with the government. Do a good job in the implementation of policies, such as curbing new production capacity and resolving excess production capacity and other issues, assisting the government to investigate and punish illegal new projects, based on the rapid development of the glass industry, and create a new environment for the healthy development of the glass industry.

At the meeting, Qiao Longde, President of China Building Materials Federation, made an important speech, gave a detailed report on the personnel adjustment, and made general requirements for the future development of the glass industry.
