On October 31, 2024, the China Architectural and Industrial Glass Association organized and held the re-election meeting of the Safety Glass Professional Committee and the first standing committee meeting of the seventh session in Wuqing, Tianjin. The leaders present at the meeting included Zhang Baiheng, President of the China Architectural and Industrial Glass Association, Li Hui, Secretary-General, the proposed standing committee members recommended by the Safety Glass Professional Committee, as well as representatives of member units and staff of the secretariat, totaling 52 people. Li Jiang, General Manager of Rizhao Huaye Glass Co., Ltd. under Huaye Technology Group, participated in this meeting. The meeting was chaired by Secretary-General Li Hui.

At the beginning of the meeting, on behalf of the association, President Zhang first extended congratulations on the convening of the meeting and sent greetings to all the participants! President Zhang introduced the operation situation of the glass industry this year and pointed out that the glass industry is currently facing a severe economic situation, which is closely related to the internal and external environment of the industry. Currently, the industry is in a downward cycle, and enterprises in the industry need to change their business concepts, shifting from the growth in quantity in the past to the improvement in quality, and accelerating the research and development of new products and the exploration of new production methods. Whether it is in terms of equipment or production process technology, continuous innovation and optimization should be carried out to achieve iterative technological development.

In accordance with the relevant procedures for the re-election work, the representatives present at the meeting examined the materials of the proposed standing committee member units and standing committee members provided by the secretariat. Through a secret ballot, the standing committee member units and standing committee members of the Seventh Safety Glass Professional Committee were elected. Li Jiang was elected as a standing committee member of the Seventh Safety Glass Professional Committee.

Subsequently, each of the standing committee members made speeches respectively. Everyone had a full discussion on the current situations and problems regarding market demand, product quality, testing methods, improvement of standards, and the reduction of spontaneous breakage issues. In his speech, Li Jiang stated that in the future, Huaye Glass will give full play to its own advantages, actively strengthen cooperation with other enterprises in the industry, provide powerful support and assistance for the development of safety glass, jointly promote the entire safety glass industry to a higher level of development, and provide the society with higher-quality, safer and more reliable safety glass products.
