On 8 January, the eleventh meeting of the 11th Standing Committee of the CPPCC was held. Yang Liuxing, Chairman of the CPPCC attended the meeting and delivered a speech, Lai Fenghua, Vice Chairman presided over the meeting, Wang Kunying, Chen Feng, Meng Fanxiang, Hui Min, Xu Guihua, Hu Zunliang, Vice Chairman, and Fei Lizhi, Secretary General attended the meeting. Yin Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC and Chairman of the Group, attended the meeting.

The meeting conveyed and learnt the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the New Year Tea Party of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the spirit of the central government as well as the important meetings of the city, consulted and discussed the Report on the Work of the Government, considered and passed the relevant reports, personnel matters and the relevant matters for the Third Session of the Eleventh Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and listened to the report of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC for the year of 2023 on the performance of their duties, as well as the report on the summary of the work of the CPPCC's various committees in 2023.

The meeting requested that CPPCC organisations and CPPCC members at all levels in the city should strengthen political awareness, adhere to the ideological leadership, strengthen the sense of responsibility, deeply understand and accurately grasp the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the spirit of important central meetings, thoroughly implement the 14th five plenary sessions of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Party Committee's economic work conference, closely follow the Municipal Party Committee Plenary Session to determine the ‘project breakthrough year ", green low-carbon high-quality development and other objectives and tasks, solidly carry out the “Sunshine Consultation” activities, the courage to take on the role of cohesive development of consensus, give full play to their own strengths and social influence, and constantly write a chapter of Chinese-style modernisation of Rizhao to contribute more wisdom and strength.

The meeting stressed that we must insist on excellence, do a good job in preparation for the third session of the 11th CPPCC, strengthen the ideological understanding, close collaboration and cooperation, and actively contribute, with a stronger mission to bear, a more responsible attitude to work, dedication, due diligence to do a good job in service and protection of the work, and fully demonstrated that the CPPCC members of the level of participation in political affairs and good quality, high standards of good preparatory work, to ensure that the General Assembly was successfully and smoothly convened.
