LOW-E glass appearance color selection

2018-06-15

LOW-E glass, also known as low-emissivity glass, is a kind of energy-saving glass. Because of its superior energy-saving properties and colorful colors, it has become a beautiful landscape in public buildings and high-end residences. Common LOW-E glass colors include blue, gray, colorless, etc. These mainstream colors are durable and durable, and are the mainstream exterior colors of urban buildings. There are also some more distinctive colors, such as gold, silver, silver. Blue and so on.

As we all know, we use glass as a curtain wall for several reasons: natural light, lower energy consumption, and aesthetics.

The color of glass is like people's clothes. The right color can make people's eyes shine, and the unsuitable color can make people look uncomfortable. So how do we choose the right color? We discuss the following aspects: light transmittance, outdoor reflection color, film surface reflection color and transmission color, original film and structure, and eliminating the influence of interference color during sample viewing.

1. Appropriate light transmittance:

According to the "General Principles of Civil Building Design" GB50352-2005, civil buildings are divided into two categories according to their functions: public buildings and residential buildings.

Mandatory regulations: "Code for Energy Efficiency Design of Public Buildings" GB50189-2015 provides for Class A public buildings: when the area ratio of a single facade window to wall is less than 0.4, the light transmittance of the glass should not be less than 0.60; the area ratio of a single facade window to wall ≥ When it is 0.4, the transmittance of the glass should not be less than 0.40.

Implicit regulations: "Code for Energy Efficiency Design of Public Buildings" GB50189-2015, "Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Residential Buildings in Severe Cold and Cold Regions" JGJ26-2010, "Design Standard for Energy Efficiency of Residential Buildings in Hot Summer and Cold Winter Regions" JGJ134-2010, "Hot Summer and Winter According to JGJ 75-2012, the energy-saving design standards for residential buildings in warm areas, for building facades, glass materials with different window-to-wall ratios have specific parameter restrictions on the shading coefficient Sc or the solar heat gain coefficient SHGC, while the shading coefficient and light transmittance are limited by specific parameters. The rate is closely related. When we choose glass, we need to refer to the specific performance parameters.

Other principles: building use (such as residential needs better lighting), owner's preferences, local solar irradiance factors, other relevant national and local energy-saving standards, etc.

Second, the appropriate outdoor color

1) Appropriate outdoor reflectivity:

Outdoor reflectance is a color factor that is easily overlooked by everyone. In fact, not only the specific color values such as red, green, yellow, and blue, but also the reflectance of glass is closely related to its color expression.

The outdoor reflectivity of hollow LOW-E glass is generally between 10%-30% (national regulations, the external reflection of LOW-E glass is not more than 30%), 10%-15% can be called low-reflection, low-reflection glass The color is less irritating to the human eye, it is not a very deep color, and it will not give people very distinct color characteristics; 15%-25% reflectivity can be called medium-reverse, and the color expression of medium-reverse glass is very good Yes, it is easy to highlight the color of the film layer, for example, blue glass, the reflectivity is in this section, the color will be very bright blue, and the same will be true for other colors; 25%-30% can be called For high reflectivity, the reflectivity of high reflectivity glass is too strong, which is highly irritating to the pupil of the human eye, and the pupil will adapt to reduce the amount of light incident. Therefore, we see that the color of the glass with high reflectivity will be distorted to a certain extent. The color looks like a piece of white, this color is generally called silver, such as silver white, silver blue and so on.

Glass with high reflectivity will cause certain light pollution and safety hazards under certain conditions. For example, in "Optical Properties of Glass Curtain Walls" GB/T 18091-2000, it is proposed that the glass curtain walls set below 20m on both sides of urban arterial roads, overpasses and elevated roads, and the rest of the road sections below 10m, should have a reflection ratio below 0.16. ; Glass curtain walls should be limited in residential areas (for safety and lighting, glass with lower reflectivity should be selected as far as possible). ·

2) Appropriate color values:

Color is like the coat of a building, we need to choose the appropriate color according to the customer's preference and use function. Featured item color recommendation:

Traditional banking, finance, and high-end consumption places need to create a magnificent feeling. At this time, if you choose pure color and high reflectivity golden glass, you can set off a good atmosphere.

·Hangzhou International Conference Center

For projects such as libraries and exhibition halls, you can choose colorless glass with high transparency and low reflection, which has no visual barriers and no sense of restraint, which can provide people with a relaxed and comfortable reading environment.

Commemorative public construction projects such as museums and martyrs’ cemeteries need to give people a sense of solemnity. We can choose medium-transparent, medium-anti-grey glass.

For general residential projects, in order to take into account the characteristics of safety, lighting, and comfort, medium and high-transparency colorless glass, blue-gray, gray and other color glass can be selected.
